This morning before breakfast
Owner Owner: Your interview for the position of Graphic Designer / Customer Service Representative has been scheduled for Thursday, March 29/12 at 11 am.
Location - 76 Centennial Rd. Unit #2, Orangeville Ont. L9W 1P9
Me: The fact that this response was automated speaks volumes to your company image and values. This is not the kind of company that I would want to work with. I will absolutely not be coming in for said scheduled interview
Owner Owner: A very unfortunate attitude as this is not an automated message. Good luck in your future endeavors.
Me: ( hahaha are you fucking kidding me? )
Me: Really.. So you didn't just copy and paste a minimal, impersonalized message, sent form "owner owner" as the account holder? I guess its possible you're just that monotonous and impersonal.
Either way I find that business practice offensive. I don't believe that is the way you should start a working relationship with any person. Yes we all want to save time and practice efficiency... However, It shows lack of respect and interest. I feel it's a very detrimental first impression.
Its very "soulless corporation." I truly hope this is not a reflections how you run your business. I truly hope this isn't the case.
But I do feel its my duty as an artist and human being to stand up for my principles.
I don't say this to try to offend you or insult you necessarily, merely to make my views known. Which by the way, I'll have you know, I think is a great attitude! I stand up for what I believe in. I speak my mind. I try to do what I can to effect change for the better.
If you honestly disagree with that. You've already proven my point. I wish you all the best, Goodbye
